You don’t need to be a ballerina to enjoy this class but if you are a retired dancer, you will be transported back in time to the days spent practicing développés, retirés, demi-pliés and grands battements! Barre Fit program includes a floor warm-up, ballet inspired barre exercises to tone legs and butt, UGI ball or toner bands to sculpt lower and upper body and mat pilates style floorwork to flatten the belly and strengthen lower back. Yin inspired yoga class where all poses are practiced sitting, kneeling or laying down and are held for 2-5 minutes. This style of yoga gives the students the opportunity to practice meditation; freeing the mind from thought throughout the class. Barefoot training can help you reduce pain and improve feet and body biomechanics.
